5 Press PTY SEEK START.

This unit starts searching for the corresponding Radio

Data System stations. This unit stops searching when

the selected program type is found. The program

name shows up on the front panel display.

To cancel PTY SEEK, press PTY SEEK START again.

■ To switch the information display of

Radio Data System

While receiving Radio Data System, press FREQ/

TEXT.

Each time you press the button, the information

display changes as follows:

Information type

• PROGRAM SERVICE (PS)

Displays the station name.

• PROGRAM TYPE (PTY)

Displays the program type (genre).

• RADIO TEXT (RT)

Displays text information related to the Radio Data

System broadcast. (Shows an under bar for a non-

identifiable character.)

• CLOCK TIME (CT)

Displays the current time. (Shows the message

“CT WAIT” when time data cannot be received

properly.)

• The available Radio Data System information types vary

depending on the station.

• If the signal transmission of the Radio Data System station is

too weak, this unit may not be able to receive Radio Data

System information completely. In particular, RT (Radio Text)

information uses a lot of bandwidth, so it may be less available

compared to other types of information.
